  • Notes
    • Alice's baptismal records report that she was "...of Lake Tallon...firstly bapitized by a Methodist Preacher, and publicly received into the church, by..." Rev. C. Foster Bliss. Her sponsors were Rachel Pennell and Mrs. Richard William Pennell. Her brother Dick recalled in a letter to Alice, the time he took her "out of bed when you was crying to quiet you and also the time he took you into the lake at Graswels Point to baptize you."

In her marriage record to Adoniram, she is recorded as being of the Church of England. Alice died in hospital after six months of illness. Her obituary reports that she was a resident of Rutherglen since 1881, the organist at St. Margaret's Church for many years and a member of the Anglican Women's Guild of St. Margaret's Church.

The 1901 Census verifies Alice's birthdate as being Apr 5, 1876. In her later years, Alice was quite a large woman. However, after being diagnosed with diabeties, Alice became a very small fragile looking woman.
