  • Notes
    • BIOGRAPHY: Edna was "...baptized at home by the Rev. W.Y.Daykin ... Received into the congretation of St. Margaret's (Anglican Church), Rutherglen, Sunday 7 August, 1910" by the Rev. Gordon Postlethwaite.

Before Edna and Cliff's marriage, Edna parents felt is was necessary for Cliff to know that Edna's father, Adoniram, was illegitimate, and in fact, that Adoniram didn't know at all who his real father was. Cliff
seems to have decided to marry Edna regardless of her "questionable" heritage.

Edna taught school in Noranda, Porquis Junction and Rutherglen (1964) after her children grew up. They also lived in Iroquois Falls (until 1950) and Ramore (1949). They lived in Northern Ontario for about 40 years.

Shortly after Cliff's retirement, they sold their home in Rutherglen and bought a townhouse in Calender where they lived until they became to old to look after themselves. They admitted themselved into Leisure World Nursing Home in North Bay in the late 1980's. Edna's eyes and hearing began to fail and in 1992 she had cataracts removed.

Edna was a member of Eastern Star.
